Avery Dennison SF 100 Paint Mask: Bakeable vs. No-Bake

Every Stencil Craft kit is cut from genuine Avery Dennison SF 100 Series paint mask vinyl — a calendered vinyl film with a clear, removable acrylic adhesive built for stencil work. It cuts and weeds cleanly for crisp paint lines, and removes without residue from most OEM surfaces when peeled off promptly after curing.

We offer two SF 100 formulas on every kit, and picking the right one comes down to one question: are you baking your finish, or air-curing it?

High Heat Bakeable (SF 100-235-S)

  • Best for: Cerakote, DuraCoat, and any finish that goes through an oven bake cycle
  • Rated: -40°F to +200°F (-40°C to +94°C) — built to withstand mild paint-baking cycles
  • Finish: Semi-gloss yellow, 3.2 mil face
  • Remove promptly once the bake/cure cycle finishes for the cleanest release

No Bake Yellow (SF 100-231-S)

  • Best for: Air-dry and room-temperature-cure finishes — spray paint, enamel, and similar coatings that never see an oven
  • Not rated for paint-baking cycles — this formula isn't designed to go in the oven
  • Finish: Matte yellow, 3.4 mil face
  • Removes cleanly for up to a year on most surfaces when peeled off promptly after curing

What they have in common

  • Clear removable acrylic adhesive — low tack, minimal residue on removal
  • Minimum application temperature: 40°F (4°C)
  • Resistant to mild acids, alkalis, and salt solutions
  • Self-extinguishing film

Every stencil kit in our shop lets you choose between the two formulas at checkout — pick based on how you're curing your finish, not just the pattern you want.
